Obituary

Beatrice Eugenia Bair went to be with the Lord and sing with the angels on Monday, March 30, 2015 at the age of 77. Bea was born in Fort Smith, Arkansas on January 3, 1938 to Xury (Yury) Guy and Loreta Angel. Bea was the oldest of three children. Bea would recount the memory of her mother strumming the guitar as Bea sang in perfect harmony at the tender age of two. Bea was survived by her two younger siblings Xury (Yury) Charles Angel and Kathryn Angel Palmer. Bea's brother Charles remembers how Bea would walk and lead her two younger siblings to school. Charles recalls how his big sister would put two dimes in each of their palms for lunch. Bea would close Charles' hand tight around the coins and pat his little hand and say "now don't lose these". On some occasions Charles felt he needed an extra pat on his closed palm just for good measure. At times Charles had to miss school due to severe asthma, but sister, Bea would make sure he was caught up with his lessons and on track to move forward with his grade school education. Bea was always delighted to help her grandchildren with school studies as well. Bea and her two friends, Mazie and Anne Slaton, went on a fateful trip to an Assembly of God church in Hot Springs, Arkansas. While there, the teens swooned over the quartet of young handsome men singing. They also heard of the school these talented boys attended, Southwestern Assembly of God College in Waxahachie, Texas. As fate would have it, the three girls attended that same college and eventually Bea and Anne married two talented men from that quartet in that college. Bea and Homer Bair were married in August of 1957 in Fort Smith, Arkansas. They were blessed with two children, Terri and Bryan. Bea had a very successful career as a professional with the ATF, IRS and finally with the FAA. She was highly respected and recognized by her employers. Terri and Bryan were raised with a great love and appreciation for music. Family gatherings were always sprinkled with amazing musical moments. Their harmonious rendition of "Happy Birthday" was always a moment of musical beauty; always starting with giggles and laughs and then harmonic perfection! Homer and Bea served in the ministry of music at Crossroads Cathedral for around 45 years. Yet one of her best accomplishments was being Grandmother to her 5 grandchildren. Bea is survived by 2 children; Terri Parker and spouse Dean Parker; Bryan Bair and spouse Angela Bair; Terri's children, Jake Flaniken and Rachel Wright Snelling; Bryan's children Tayler Davila, Britton Bair and Cierra Bair. Beatrice will be sorely missed but will be in the presence of the Lord and Homer the love of her life.
