Bertie Brashears Mitchell, 100 passed away January 9, 2016 in Oklahoma City. Bertie was born August 10, 1915 in the family farmhouse near Kinta, Oklahoma. She was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR). She moved from Lona Valley, near Kinta, OK in 1942 to Moore and later to Oklahoma City. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Carl Mitchell and daughter, Vestal Juanita Mitchell. She is survived by her daughter, Ramona Etris of Oklahoma City, granddaughter Karen Bouchard (Norm) of Kansas City, MO; grandsons Darrell Etris and David Etris of Oklahoma City; three great grandchildren and five great, great grandchildren and a special niece Sybil Foster. Visitation will be held 4-8 PM Tuesday, January 12 at Vondel Smith Mortuary. Funeral Services will be held January 13, 2016 at 10:00 AM at Wilmont Place Baptist Church where she was a member since 1944. Burial will be 4 PM in Lona Valley Cemetery near Kinta, Oklahoma.
