Betty grew up in Oklahoma City where she graduated from Central High School in 1952. Following graduation, she moved to Washington D.C. to live with her maternal Aunt Velda and Uncle Bill. She gained employment with the Federal Government at The Pentagon. She made many friends there and enjoyed being close to all of her Aunts and Uncles. She was well-respected for her professionalism, dedication, and strong work ethic. After her retirement, while residing in Northwest Oklahoma City, she managed the Homeowners Association where she lived. She enjoyed visiting with relatives, keeping in touch with her friends, traveling, and staying informed on current events. She cherished her Grandchildren and was always a source of inspiration and guidance to all who knew her.
