Obituary

Betty G. Billen, 88, loving, adoring, devoted wife and mother, was called on a beautiful, cool, fall morning to her Heavenly home on September 6, 2023. She was born on February 10, 1935 in her hometown of Haileyville, Oklahoma to William Alfred and Rella Inez (Hodges) Carmack. In 1952, she graduated from Haileyville High School. She relocated with her family and established a home in Oklahoma City with her parents. She attended business school at Draughan School of Business. For many years, Betty was employed as a bookkeeper for Kanaly Investments where she worked until her retirement. On August 8, 1958, Betty married Michael R. Billen, whom she remained a devoted wife and shared 49 wonderful years together until he went to his Heavenly home on February 1, 2007. Their union of marriage was blessed with three children: David, Debra and Deana. She was a longtime member of Capitol Hill Christian Church where she served the Lord and other in many ways including Deaconess, Women's Ministries, Chairman of the Board and Treasurer. After Capitol Hill Christian Church dissolved, she became an active member of Hillcrest Christian Church also serving in many areas as well. She devoted her extra time to community services as a Wizkid volunteer after school programs for many years.

She is now reunited with her:

Husband of 49 years, Michael R. Billen;

Mother, Rella Inez Carmack;

Father, William Alfred Carmack;

Brother, William Lee Carmack;

Brother, Joe Edward Carmack;

Many other beloved family and friends that have passed on before her.

She leaves behind her loving family:

Daughter, Debra Billen Hardeman;

Son, David M. Billen;

Son-in-law, Melvin L. Hardeman;

Step-Daughter, Deana G. Epp;

Numerous other loving family, nieces, nephews and friends.
