Betty H. Irwin, 88, of Oklahoma City, went to be with her Savior on Thursday, September 17, 2009 after battling with heart disease the last years of her life. Betty was born June 24, 1921 in Oklahoma City. Betty graduated from Capitol Hill High School and O.B.U. in Shawnee where she met her husband Jack who was a flight instructor at the time. She lived in Oklahoma City, Dallas, Kansas City, and in 1946 she moved to Lima, Peru for 7 years. Betty was a teacher, teaching High School in Shawnee and after returning from Peru she went back to college to get a certificate for teaching grade school. She taught fourth grade at Millwood for 10 years. Betty was a faithful member of Exchange Avenue Baptist Church and before that, Rancho Village Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by:
• Her parents, Worth and Bessie Hager;
• Stepmother, Ola Hager;
• And seven aunts.

She is survived by:
• Her husband of 67 years, Jack;
• Son, Jack R.;
• daughter, Susan;
• cousins, Richard and Robert Dennis;
• their father, Frank Dennis and Loreece Dennis.
