Graveside services to honor Betty will be held 2:00pm Thursday, March 5, 2020 at Resthaven Memory Gardens (500 SW 104th). Betty Louise Jenkins, 89, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, February 29, 2020. She was born January 31, 1931 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to Elmer and Grace (Porter) Ventris. She married the love of her life Edward Eugene Jenkins on October 14, 1947 and enjoyed many joyful moments together until his passing on April 29, 1983. Betty enjoyed crocheting, reading, cooking, and baking. Even though she was tougher than all get out, what Betty loved the most was spending time with her family who loved her very much and will always remember her. She is preceded in death by her: Parents; Husband; Son, Rowland Eugene Jenkins; Granddaughter, Valerie Dawn Walkabout. She leaves cherished memories with her loving: Sons, Terry Jenkins and wife Pam; and Dennis Jenkins; Daughters, Nancy Walkabout; Kim Jenkins; Robin O'Grady and husband Sean; Grandchildren, Gheia Jenkins, Brian Jenkins, Ryan Walkabout, Terry Jenkins, Jaime Shay, Greg Lewis, Jeff Lewis, Jessica Willingham, and Chase O'Grady; 12 great-grandchildren and 1 on the way; As well as many other loving family and friends.
