Betty Louise Klossner, 66, with her husband at her side, was embraced by her Heavenly Father on February 18, 2022.
Betty was born on December 2, 1955 in Jefferson City, MO to Charles & Fredona Ruth. Growing up in Jefferson City, she graduated from Jefferson City High School in 1974. Betty met her future husband at church in Jefferson City. As the story goes, after noticing Perry and realizing he noticed her, she decided to sit in the pew he frequented one Sunday evening. Either he was going to ignore her or ask her out! The rest is history as Perry and Betty married on Oct 4th, 1980. Perry and Betty have two sons whom she adored, Joshua & Aaron. Perry and Betty moved their family to Oklahoma in 1992. Betty was a graduate of Mid-America Christian University and received her Bachelor's degree in Management & Ethics. Betty worked throughout her life, pausing her career while her boys where young, and finished her tenure for the State of Oklahoma Tax Commission retiring in 2019 as an Auditor III. Betty's faith in God was something to be admired. She worshiped and served at Shartel Church of God where she was active in numerous ministries of the church.
Besides her walk with Christ, Betty had two passions: her family and fishing! She could be found many summer days and weekends fishing with her husband Perry. Her love for her fishing pole and the outdoors was something she passed on to her boys. Her son Aaron wrote these words that perfectly captures her devotion to her family:
"She was an amazing mom. She was my biggest cheerleader. She never missed a baseball game, orchestra concert, or scouting event. She went to school and then worked while raising two boys. She made some of the best meals and always had a custom decorated cake for our birthdays. When I was 12, she fought and beat cancer to give me 20 more years with her."
Betty was preceded in death by her parents; Charles Sr. and Fredona Ruth; in-laws Wendell and Bettie Klossner; and a host of cousins, a niece, and friends.
She leaves cherished memories with her family; her husband Perry of 41 years; her children Joshua Klossner and his wife Katie, Aaron Klossner, and her precious grandson Everett Klossner; brother Charles Ruth, Jr. and his wife Jeanie, brother in-law Keith Klossner and wife Amy.
