Vondel Smith Mortuary - South Western Ave. Viewing will be held 6-8pm Friday, September 20th. Services to celebrate her life will be 11:00 am Saturday, September 21, 2019 at the funeral home (6934 S. Western Ave) with burial to follow. On September 14, 2019, Betty joined the love of her life, Raymond Leo McDowell, who preceded her in death by three years. Betty was a multi-talented individual who loved painting, quilting, ceramics, sewing, gardening and many other crafts. She and Raymond both loved and enjoyed traveling during their retirement years. Betty was preceded in death by her: Parents; Husband, Raymond Leo McDowell; Betty leaves behind her loving: Children, Meredith Adams-Wade, Diana Smith, Richard McDowell and Kathy Bell, As well as many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
