Betty's Funeral will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday December 30, 2023 at Southern Ridge Church of Christ (2237 SW 134th St. OKC, OK)
Betty entered her Heavenly home on December 26, 2023 at the age of 83. She was born on February 11, 1940, in Elkhart, Kansas to parents, Marion & Nina Dixon. She graduated from Pecos High School (Pecos, TX) in 1958 and as a High School Senior, she met Horace Phillips. On April 19, 1959, the two were married, officially beginning their life together. She and Horace settled in Oklahoma City with three children: Kelley, Perry, and Kimberly. She worked in the family insurance agency for many years, playing a large role in making the business successful. Betty and Horace have been faithful members of Southern Ridge Church of Christ where she served in many capacities, most notably as an Elders' wife. She was a powerful example to all women. She was a skilled seamstress and had an eye for decorating. She truly enjoyed hosting all family celebrations, was an excellent cook and her pies were magical.Betty was a devoted wife, a loving mother, and a proud Nanny. Her memories will be cherished by all whom she loved, and by those who will continue to love her.

Wesley, Brady, Cason & Cooper
As well as numerous extended family, church family, and dear friends.
The family would like to personally acknowledge and thank Elaine Gaffney for her many hours of conversation and tender care given Betty over the last and most challenging year of her life.
