Obituary

Betty Ann Turner of OKC passed away Friday, Sept. 18. She was born in Seattle, WA to J. Franklin Wimer and Betty E. (Lomax) Wimer. Betty Ann was raised in Vinita and Britton, OK. She graduated from Classen High School at the age of 16. From there she attended O.C.W., then Central State Teachers College. She received her Master's degree in Counseling from C.S.U. in 1968. Betty was a lovely, witty, lively, wonderful woman, much loved by her family and friends. She is survived by her husband, John, her brother Jim Wimer and his wife Betty, her daughters Jeanne Ann Paul and Betty Hensley and her husband J.T., her son Charles E. (Chuck) Cook and his wife Blanca, her nieces Becky Wynne and husband Buddy, Corby Oliver and husband Don, and Billie Steeds and husband Gary and nephew Jimmy Wimer. She was a member of Chapel Hill UMC, where services will be held, Wednesday, September 23 at 2:00 PM in the sanctuary. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Salvation Army.
