The son of Rosemary (Pool) and William Loren Blundell, Bill was born November 22, 1941 in Parsons, Kansas. While growing up, Bill attended schools in Parsons, KS and later graduated from Liberal High School in 1959 in Liberal, KS.

He honorably served his country in the United States Air Force from 1960 to 1964 while stationed in England and France. In addition to being a loving husband and devoted father, Bill provided for his family by working and serving the community of Oklahoma City as a firefighter for 30 years. During his career, Bill worked his way through the ranks and eventually retired as a District Commander in 1994.

Throughout his life, Bill enjoyed a wide variety of activities, including memberships in the local Mustang Club and Corvette Club while restoring various cars. He attended firefighter conventions and picnics, secretly built sheds and tinkered with projects in his shop. He and Linda also volunteered at the State Fair for several years. The family enjoyed summer vacations, traveling around the United States and also a couple of trips across the pond to England and Europe.
