IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Billie Sue
Huffer Allen
July 29, 1931 – February 11, 2024
Billie Sue Huffer Allen passed away February 11th, 2024 at the age of 92. Billie Sue was born July 29th, 1931 to parents Marie and Bill Hodges. She graduated high school early and moved to Oklahoma City at age 16, where she lived with her Aunt and Uncle, Grace and Ward Phillips.
Billie Sue was an exceptional typist and worked as a secretary at the State Capitol, where she met her future husband Kenneth P. Huffer. The two married in 1950. Mom became a widow in 1968, at the age of 37. She raised her six children in the ways of God; working tirelessly to provide our needs. We are all so very thankful that mom sent us to Catholic schools.
Our mother was an extraordinary woman. She was beautiful, kind, generous, resilient and resourceful. She had an answer for any problem and a cure for every ill. Billie Sue was smart, with a keen sense of humor. Among her many gifts, mom had the ability to recall specific dates and events from her past, upon request. She loved to play cards and dominoes. Mom also loved watching football, especially the Dallas Cowboys and Oklahoma Sooners. She was grateful for her Choctaw heritage. Everyone loved her and it was an honor to be loved by her. She will be missed, but lives on through us all.
Billie Sue was preceded in death by her parents, Marie and Bill Hodges; husbands Kenneth P. Huffer and William H. Allen; sons Kenneth P. Huffer II and Phillip Huffer and three sisters; Arrilla, Jacqueline (Tootsie) and Mary.
She is survived by her children Patrick, Susie (husband Tim), Sandy and LaTrecca; along with grandchildren Naome, Colin, Ryan, April, Darren, Amber, Matthew, Adam, Russell, Jacqueline and Anthony; great grandchildren Stetson, Brooklyn, Jackson, Katelyn, Gracie, Brady, Blakely, Jude and Brewer and numerous nieces and nephews.
