Billy Selby Hill was born on April 5, 1948 in Chickasha, OK. He was the son of Leon and Dorthea Hill. He went home to be his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on December 30, 2021 at the age of 73 surrounded by family at his home in Royse City, TX. Billy grew up in Chickasha, OK and graduated Chickasha High School in 1966.
After High School graduation he attended Oklahoma College of Liberal Arts before being drafted into the United States Army. He served in the U.S. Army from 1969-1971. Assigned to the U.S. Army Chemical Corp, with service in the Viet Nam Conflict 1969-1970 and awarded the U.S. Army Commendation Medal and the Bronze Star Medal for meritorious service in a hostile area.
Billy married the love of his life, Rebecca in 1971 and together they shared 49 years of marital bliss. Billy was a dedicated son, brother, husband, father and grandfather who deeply loved his family. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Shortly after getting married in Anniston, AL they relocated to Chickasha, OK where he returned and graduated from Oklahoma College of Liberal Arts in 1973 with a Bachelor of Science Degree. Shortly thereafter they established a family. Jeffrey Scott was born in 1974 and Richard Mart was born in 1977.
Billy served as a Deacon, Sunday School Teacher, and a member of the choir for several churches over the years but his passion was visitation. Every Wednesday evening, he enjoyed visiting the community to share the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Billy worked in the Oil and Gas Industry for 40 years, retiring in 2013 from Baker Hughes Inc. as a Business Development Manager.
Billy has enjoyed restoring and collecting classic cars and trucks over the past several decades. On any given weekend you could find him driving his classic vehicle or participating in a car show (where he wins a trophy about 99% of the time). Even though he hasn't had enough strength lately he has always enjoyed a round of golf with family or close friends.
