Bob went to be with the Lord on June 7, 2020 at the age of 92. Bob was born October 11, 1927 in Durant, Oklahoma to Curtis and Hazel Langham. Bob was raised in Lone Grove, Oklahoma and attended school there. When Bob was 17 he enlisted in the US Navy and proudly served his country in the Asian front during WWII. Bob married Ethel Chambers in 1945 and they raised their family in the Oklahoma City area. Bob and his family were longtime members of Capitol Hill Baptist Church. Bob was a hard worker and made sure his family was taken care of. He worked in the oilfields for many years and also worked as a mechanic for Simpson Horton Ford. He made a 20 year career as a diesel mechanic for the US Postal Service. During his time there he was instrumental in the selection of our present day US Mail Delivery trucks. Bob retired from the USPS in the late 80's and spent many years traveling with his wife Ethel. Bob was also an avid fisherman and enjoyed hunting deer, quail and pheasants. Bob and Ethel spent a season helping a friend care for an apple orchard in Washington State and then they traveled into Canada where Bob got to fish some beautiful lakes. The two most enjoyed their time spent to together at Lake Texoma in the RV. Bob and Ethel enjoyed nearly 70 years of marriage until her passing in 2012. With the support of family and friends Bob was able to begin a new chapter in his life. In 2013 Bob relocated to Yukon and became re-associated with a longtime friend, Claudine Curtis. She was his loving friend and companion until his passing. Bob will always be remembered for his outdoorsy adventurous spirit and his willingness to help others.
