Obituary

Bobby Lee "Bob" McWhorter, 87, with his family by his side, joined his heavenly father on November 13, 2024.

Bob was born in Milburn, OK on January 30, 1937 to Thomas Earl & Vada Belle (Dean) McWhorter, Bob was raised in the Milburn community where he attended the local schools, and was active in sports playing on the Baseball & Basketball teams in high school; he graduated in 1956 from Milburn High School.

In May of 1956 Bob enlisted in the United States Navy, he was honorably discharged in June of 1959 at which time he moved to Oklahoma City where he began work for Moore's Sheet Metal, along the way he met the love of his life Bonnie Jones, the two were united in marriage on March 1, 1963 in Madill, Oklahoma to this union were born three children,Michael, Susan and Bradley.

In 1976, Bob founded Alliance Sheet Metal with silent partners. Wanting more independence, Bob, Bonnie and son Mike founded Quality Stainless in 1984. After 20 years Bob retired in 2005.

Bob was a member of Southern Hills Baptist Church where he faithfully attended and enjoyed the fellowship of his church family for the last 9 years.

Throughout the years Bob and Bonnie traveled extensively, they were both avid motorcycle enthusiasts and members of the Emmanuel Christian Bikers, traveling all across our great nation and into Canada. In their quest to "see the world together"; they took more than 30 cruises, many times with family and close friends.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents; son Brad, 3 brothers Harold, Lloyd & Earl; and one sister Bonnie.

He leaves cherished memories with his loving and devoted wife Bonnie of the home;

Bob will be remembered as the one who took care of everyone else, with a big bark, a bigger heart and the best Husband, Dad and Papa.
