Obituary

Rev. Boyd Rayburn was born November 2nd, 1924 at Bradley, Oklahoma. He was the son of Mr. & Mrs., J.L. & Lenora Rayburn. Boyd served in the U.S. Army in W.W. II, was a dairy farmer in the Tuttle area prior to surrendering to the ministry in 1952 and returning to college at OBU and then seminary at Southwestern Theological Seminary. Boyd pastored at Center Point in Ringling, OK., Vamoosa Baptist, Lexington 1st Baptist and served as a Church Planter for the Southern Baptist Home Mission Board and started 21 new Baptist churches. Boyd was married to Ruby Belle for 64 years.
He is survived by:
• His wife, Ruby Belle Rayburn of Oklahoma City;
• Three sons, Bruce & Janella Rayburn of Plano, TX, Paul & Sohing Rayburn of Carrollton, TX, Gary & Lavonda Rayburn of Norman, OK;
• Seven grandchildren, Michelle Oehler, Brian Rayburn, Tim Rayburn, Jeff Rayburn, Tyler Rayburn, Garrett Rayburn, Alexandria Rayburn;
• Two great grandchildren, Braden Paul Rayburn and Alyssa Williams.
