Brenda L. Coffee DeShazer, of Oklahoma City, went home to her heavenly father on February 14, 2014. She was born in Ponca City, Oklahoma to Elza and Rebecca Warner Haynes on January 2, 1950. She was the eldest of four daughters. She received her early education and graduated from Ponca City High School in 1968, and from Central State University, where she earned her degree in early childhood education. On October 7, 1972, she married her childhood sweetheart, Joe Dell Coffee. To this union there were four children; one daughter, and three sons. They were married 30 years, until his death in 2003. After her teaching career, she spent the remainder of her life, loving and taking care of her family. She loved traveling and spending time with family and friends, especially her grandsons. She is best known for her cooking, her sense of humor, and her love of family. On June 25, 2011, she married Tommie L. DeShazer. They spent the past two years together until her untimely death. She is survived by her loving husband, Tommie L. DeShazer, daughter, Traci Coffee Forest(Donald), sons, Benjamin and Michael Coffee, and grandsons Justin, Caleb, and Donovan Forest, all of Oklahoma City. Three sisters, Mary Jo Haynes(Ponca City), Gwen Anderson(Chester) Bartlesville, and Terri Haynes(Ponca City), brother-in-law, Leonard Coffee(Julie), and sisters-in-law, Judy Coffee Davis(Matthew) and Deborah Oliver(Gary), mother-in-law, Ruth Lee, five stepchildren, Centrell, LeTeecia, Takwon, Shirmuan, and Dylan DeShazer, and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Joe Del Coffee, son, Daniel Coffee, mother, Rebecca Haynes, father, Elza Haynes, mother-in-law, Ira Coffee, and father-in-law, Joe Coffee.
