In 1961 he enlisted in the U. S. Air Force. where he faithfully served his country and was honorably discharged in 1963. C J and Jane just celebrated 54 years of marriage and Jane was by his side at the time of his death.
C J was an active member of Capitol Hill Assembly of God Church. He was also active in his community where he was a member of the South Oklahoma City Rotary Club and served as both past president and treasurer.
He was also an avid lover of model railroading and enjoyed his 16 foot train table with his grandchildren. He loved OU football and Thunder basketball. C J's greatest joy was spending time with his family, enjoying holidays together and travelling, and most of all being the best Grandpa and Papa he could be to his five grandchildren.
A man of steadfast faith, he easily shared his faith and the gospel with others. He was always eager to win others to Christ. He truly loved people and they loved him.
