Carl G. Richardson born June 17th, 1929 went to be with his Lord on July 12th, 2021. Carl was born in Wynnewood, Oklahoma and was raised in South Oklahoma City. After High School he began working in the grocery business. He managed a couple of different grocery stores in Oklahoma City. On November 14th,1948 he married the love of his life, Helen Martha Dykes and they were married for 51 years until Helen passed on April 6, 2000. Carl was in the Korean war conflict as an assistant to the Chaplain and in the artillery unit. Upon his return home Carl and Helen bought their first home on a GI bill in 1954. On July 18th, 1955 they had their first son, Carlton. On August 30th, 1960, Mark was born. Carl remained in the grocery business until the hours got to be so long he missed spending time with his family and he went to work for a food broker as a salesman calling on grocery stores all across Oklahoma. Carl was also Bi-Vocational, he led the music for a few local Southern Baptist Churches. He was only 13 when a church ask if he would lead the music for them. He remained faithful leading music until he was 90 years old. Carl was preceded in death by his parents, George and Blanche Richardson; his sisters, Ruby Tinsley, Patsy Estes. He is survived by his brother, Jack Richardson; his sons, Carlton Richardson, Mark Richardson and Daughter-in-Law Vicki Richardson. He had 2 Grandchildren, Heather Cory and Brad Roady; 4 Great Grandchildren, Maegan Cory, Kason Cory, Marlo Roady and Moriah Roady. He was also blessed with a number of nieces and nephews who meant so much to him and they all loved him as well. Carl will be greatly missed in this life but we know when he arrived in Heaven, we know he heard the words from his Savior, "Well done good and faithful servant".
