Carol Grace Maloney, 92, of Edmond, passed away February 8, 2021 after a lengthy illness. Born on October 8, 1928 in the borough of Manhattan, New York City, she was the youngest of Edward F. Murphy and Gertrude Kuss Murphy's three children. She married her beloved husband, John J. Maloney, on August 23, 1947. During their marriage they were blessed with five children – Lynn, Janet, John, Christopher and Kevin – and three grandchildren. As the spouse of an executive with a national retailer, she became adept at quickly creating comfortable homes for her family as her husband accepted assignments in Dallas Texas, Enid Oklahoma, Lawton Oklahoma, Salina Kansas, and Wichita Kansas before finally settling in the Oklahoma City area. A devout Catholic, she was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church in Bethany for many years, and had an abiding faith in God all of her life. She excelled at decorating, home improvement projects and entertaining, and was a talented artist. She loved to paint and loved to share her expertise in crafts with her granddaughters. Never one to turn away a plea for help, she supported numerous charitable and religious organizations throughout her life. That compassion extended to stray dogs and cats as well; any that came to her door were always taken in and cared for. She was a steadfast and loving mom, wife, grandmother, aunt, rescuer and friend to many. She was preceded in death by : Parents Edward F. Murphy and Gertrude Kuss Murphy Husband John J.
