IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Carolyn Ann
Bean
January 10, 1937 – October 6, 2024
Carolyn Ann Bean peacefully entered eternal life, surrounded by friends and family at her home,
on October 6, 2024 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
Carolyn was born on January 10, 1937 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to Frank Henry Balliett and
Olga Balliett (Keil). Carolyn was an Okie through and through, she attended Oklahoma Christian
University and the University of Central Oklahoma. With her education and her independent
mentality, she worked many years as a travel agent, bringing priceless memories and
experiences to her clients, she worked in the insurance industry with Courtesy Insurance
Agency and even owned her own book store with her husband, Karl Lloyd Bean, where she
opened up customers to an auditory experience of reading, one of her favorite things to do.
Carolyn's greatest joys in life were those that she loved, and those who loved her. She was
always surrounded by people. Being a social butterfly, it was never a dull moment with her. In
her lifetime, she valued experiences and memories over anything else–she took many trips
abroad with Italy being her favorite place and never strayed away from dipping her toes in the
sand at the beach. When Carolyn wasn't spending time with her family, the "Gads" and the
"BFFs", Carolyn was an active member of the organizations that she was passionate about
including being on the board of OKC Town Hall and a valued volunteer for Infant Crisis Center,
Sunbeam Family Services, Skyline Children Ministries and Mobile Meals. Most of her time was
spent being of service to others in her community–her greatest passion.
Carolyn is preceded in death by her adored daughter, Leslie Hamilton and is dancing in Heaven
with her loving husband Karl Lloyd Bean.
Carolyn is survived by and was an aunt to Marge Landry, Linda Young, Jane Sharpe and Suzi
Steed, Step-Mother to Matthew Bean, Nana to Taylor Bean and Kinsley Bean and GG-Nana to
Hadley Bean.
The family would like to invite those who were touched by her life to Carolyn's memorial service,
which will be held at the Church of the Servant on Thursday, October 10, 2024 at 3 p.m. and will
be followed by a celebration of life at Quail Creek Country Club from 5-7 p.m.
Cheers to you, Nana–you will be greatly missed. XO-Taylor and Kinsley Bean.
