Monday visitation is scheduled from 4-8 with the family present to greet friends at the funeral home.

Services to honor & celebrate her life will be held 2 PM on Tuesday, April 6, 2021 at Crossings Community Church 14600 N. Portland Ave OKC 73134.

Carolyn Sue Chesnut was born on May 6, 1946, in Blue Springs, Missouri to Max and Viola Kincaid of Braymer and Richmond, Missouri. Sue, surrounded by her family, was welcomed into the arms of her Lord & Savior early on Monday, March 29, 2021. She grew up in Kansas City, Missouri, and Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. She attended Capitol Hill High School, where she was on the majorette team and played the clarinet. It was during her time at Capitol Hill high school that she met the love of her life, Daniel Lawrence Chesnut Sr. They married on September 24, 1961, in Union City, and together they raised three sons Daniel, Darwin, and Darren. Sue was a devoted wife and an adoring mother to her children. She loved raising her family and always attended her children's many activities. Sue was a true servant of God and an active member of the Capitol Hill Church of God. She always put others' needs ahead of her own and she put God's will first. She was on the board of directors for Bible Ministries Church of God where she was an invaluable asset to the ministry. In 1988, Sue began a new career as a Deputy Sheriff at Oklahoma County where she retired in July 1999. After raising her children, Sue returned to her first love which was music. Over the years, Sue and Dan sang and she played the saxophone at many churches and events, including many tours for the North American Mission Board.

Sue's vibrant love for her family and friends was her signature in life and will be how she is remembered by those who shared in that love. When the grandchildren came, they brought so much joy into her life! Sue was passionate about cooking and spending time with her family and friends. She combined those two passions by preparing countless delicious meals making endless holiday memories we will treasure forever. She also enjoyed gardening and watching Sooner and Cowboy football and Thunder basketball games. She displayed her team spirit by throwing themed get togethers which included Sue dressing head to toe in her favorite team colors. She enjoyed life and seeing God's wonders of this world. Her beautiful presence, smile, and twinkling eyes will live on as a vivid memory for her devoted husband, children, grandchildren and all who knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Ralph Edward Kincaid; beloved grandson, Tyler Chesnut and several aunts and uncles. She is survived by her husband Daniel, son Daniel Chesnut II and wife Kristye of Choctaw, son Darwin Chesnut and wife Bridgett of Choctaw, son Darren and wife Lori of Midwest City, her grandchildren, Tiffany Reynolds and husband Rusty, Jess Chesnut and wife Katie, Seth Chesnut, Jacee Chesnut, Cortland Chesnut and wife Miranda, Matthew Chesnut, Mackenzie Chesnut, Emma Chesnut; and great-grandchildren, Nilah Chesnut, Russell Reynolds, and Karter Chesnut.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2 pm on Tuesday, April 6 at Crossings Community Church Chapel located at 14600 Portland Ave in Oklahoma City
