Cathryn J. Black was born June 23, 1924 in Ponca City, Oklahoma. She passed away on May 9, 2010 at the age of 85 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. She was a graduate of Ponca City High School and was a professional bookkeeper in various businesses for a number of years. She was the loving wife of and is survived by Ray D. Black. Her surviving family includes her children Jerry M. Black and Cindy Gray; her grandchildren Tiffany Hawkins, Nicole Black, Shaun Gray, and Ben Gray; her great grandchildren Callie and Chance Hawkins, Lindsey and Kaylee Dawson, and Kaleb Gray; her son-in-laws and daughter-in-laws David Hawkins, Tom Dawson, Ginger Dawson and Emily Gray. Her surviving sibling is Billie Marie Terhune and Billie's family. Cathryn was preceded in death by her parents Claude and Rose Cumiford, her daughter Katie Raye Jordan and her granddaughter Courtney A. Dawson. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the OSU Foundation General Scholarship Fund. Her family invites friends and loved ones to a memorial service to be held at Vondel L. Smith & Son Mortuary North Colonial Chapel on Friday, May 14th, at 10:00 AM
