Obituary

Visitation will be Wednesday, October 5, 2016 from 4-8 PM with family greeting friends from 4-7 PM at Vondel Smith Mortuary at South Lakes (4000 SW 119th St)

Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 AM Friday, October 7, 2016 at Vondel Smith Mortuary at South Lakes with burial following at Heritage Burial Park (4000 SW 119th St)

Charles, 90, went to be with the Lord on Oct 1, 2016. The son of Milton and Leona (Spillar) Johnson, Charles was born Jan 6, 1926 in San Antonio, TX. He graduated from Baptist Bible College, Springfield, MO in 1952 and pastored churches in Wyoming, Texas and Oklahoma. Charles honorably served his country during WWII in the US Air Force. In 1972 he started OKC Flight Inc. which he operated at Downtown Air Park until 1991. He was married to Ethel Susan (Meiss) Johnson for 64 years before her death in 2010. He will be deeply missed. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Sister: Margaret Allen; Brothers: James & Donnie Johnson. He leaves behind his 2 sons: David & wife, Patricia & Jim Johnson; brother: Chester Johnson; 3 grandchildren: Julie Savage, Rebekah Zwirtz & husband Lonnie Zwirtz & Jennifer Johnson-Levy & husband Dr. Marlon Levy; 5 great grandchildren: Kayla & Kyle Savage, Emily, Lucy & Luke Levy; many other loving family & friends.
