Charles A. McCartney, 36, passed away March 5, 2012. Charles was born October 21, 1975 in Birmingham, UK to Raymond Ellis and Valerie (Granger) McCartney. He grew up in Oklahoma City and attended Northeast H.S. where he played tennis and was active in the band. Charles attended SMU in Dallas, where he was a member of the Mustang Marching Band and a member of the United Methodist Campus Ministry where he served as a volunteer in both inner-city Denver and Guyana, South America. Charles proudly received a BA in Political Science and a BA in Public Relations. After school, he remained in Texas and worked in the food industry as the General Manager for Chili's Restaurants. Charles later moved back to Oklahoma and was currently the General Manager at El Chico on the NW Expressway. He was a member of Lambuth United Methodist Church.

Charles is survived by:
• His parents, Raymond and Valerie McCartney;
• Brother, Stuart McCartney and wife Nora;
• Sister, Victoria McCartney;
• Niece and nephew Kyla and Ethan;
• And many extended family members living in the UK.
