IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Charles Kinthale
Muinde
February 13, 1971 – July 8, 2025
In Loving Memory of Charles "Charlo" Muinde
February 13, 1971 – July 8, 2025
Mr. Charles Kinthale Muinde, affectionately known as Charlo, was promoted to glory in the
early morning of Tuesday, July 8, 2025, in the presence of family after courageously battling
cancer. He had only lived for 54. Charles was preceded in death by his father, the late Mr. Moses M. Muinde, and is survived by his loving mother, Mrs. Eunice L. Muinde, and siblings: Finola Muinde (Kenya), Anita & Robert
Maina (Kenya), Nancy Moinde (Vancouver, Canada), and Ruth Moinde (Valdosta, Georgia).
Charlo was a long-time resident of Oklahoma City, OK, where he spent over 30 years of his life.
He initially pursued his passion for aviation by attending flight school, later transitioning into the
trucking industry, and eventually into the oil sector. In the final phase of his career, Charlo
worked at American Building Maintenance (ABM) Industries, where he managed the OKC
office at Roger Wills International Airport—a role he held with great dedication until his
passing. From a young age, Charlo had a deep love for sports, especially the World Rally Car
Championship events. After moving to the United States, he developed a strong passion for
soccer, basketball and UFC fighting championship leagues. His enthusiasm for aviation never
waned—he loved planes and rediscovered the joy of flying between 2013 and 2015, during
which he resumed flight training to log more flying hours. Charlo was known for his witty sports banter and for forming strong, meaningful connections with people from all walks of life—both in Kenya and the United States. His unique ability to fit in seamlessly and make others feel welcome was a true testament to his larger-than-life
personality. He was kind, gentle, and a loyal friend to many, always leaving a lasting impression
on those he met. Since his cancer diagnosis in February 2024, Charlo remained remarkably positive and strong
through multiple rounds of chemotherapy and radiotherapy. His determination and will to live
brought him into remission by the end of that year. Sadly, in early 2025, the cancer returned
aggressively and spread rapidly. Charlo fought bravely and quietly until he finally rested in
peace. He will be deeply missed by family and friends. As a family, we are now facing the financial challenge of fulfilling Charlo's final wish—to be laid to rest in his homeland of Masii, in Machakos, Kenya. We humbly appeal for your prayers and financial support to help cover hospital, hospice, funeral, and transportation expenses. Your
generosity will not only allow us to honor his wishes but also give Charles the dignified farewell
he truly deserves. Thank you very much for standing with us during this time. We are deeply grateful.
