A service to celebrate the life of Charles Ray Sheppard will be 2:00 P.M. Monday, April 11, 2011 at Crestview Baptist Church 7715 South Hiwassee Road, OKC, OK 73150

Charles Ray Sheppard, 74, of Norman, OK went home to be with his Lord & Savior, Jesus Christ April 7, 2011. Charles was born June, 23, 1936 in Stratford, OK to James and Eula (Blakley) Sheppard. He was a member of Grace Place Baptist Church and spent 32 years of his life making mission trips to Mexico where he built numerous churches and orphanages. Charles leaves behind his loving wife, Della; sons, James "Jake", Jim, Michael and Troy Sheppard; daughter, Debi Yates; 14 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; sisters, Betty Lou DiBello and Jane Whitfield. He also leaves behind his church family and many colleagues from his Mexico missions. Charles was preceded in death by his parents and brother, James Oliver Sheppard. Funeral services will be held 2:00 pm, Monday, April 11, 2011 at Crestview Baptist Church with interment to follow at a Sunset Memorial Park.
