August 3, 1972 – June 21, 2025
William Christy "Chris" Parsons II, 52, passed away on June 21, 2025, at his home surrounded by his family, in Edmond, Oklahoma. Born on August 3, 1972, in Richmond, Kentucky, Chris lived a life filled with curiosity, humor, and a deep appreciation for the world around him.
Chris earned an Associate of Applied Science - Information Technology from OSUOKC in Oklahoma City, OK. He graduated from Model Laboratory School in Richmond, KY. His career path led him to roles at Apple and later Dell, Inc., where he applied his natural technical talent and inquisitive mind. Whether helping others tackle complex problems or exploring emerging technologies, Chris approached every challenge with enthusiasm and insight. Colleagues admired his sharp intellect and quick wit—qualities that made working with him both engaging and inspiring.
At the center of Chris's life was his family. Married 20 years, he shared a loving partnership with his wife, Tricia Lee Parsons, and together they raised their daughter, Elizabeth Parsons. He is also remembered by his mother, Deborah Hester Parsons; his brother, Kent Parsons; his sister-in-law, Chrissy Parsons; his nephew, Tyler Parsons; his niece, Maddie Parsons; and many others whose lives were touched by his presence. Chris was preceded in death by his father, William Christy Parsons.
Beyond work and family life, Chris found joy in the simple pleasures that brought him peace and happiness. He loved to travel to the beach and explore new places—experiences that fueled his adventurous spirit. Maui and Aruba were special places to his heart for there he could stand out in the warm, crystal-clear ocean and gaze off towards the endless, blue horizon, each beach vacation filled him with a sense of peace. Chris prided himself on being a Kentucky Wildcat fan. His face would light up each time he encountered a Big Blue Nation fan! Shopping was another favorite pastime that allowed him to indulge in discovery and delight. Music held a special place in Chris's heart throughout his life; he especially cherished sharing this love with his daughter Elizabeth.
Chris will be remembered for the warmth he brought to everyday moments and the lasting impression he left through his intelligence and sense of humor. His legacy lives on in the memories of those fortunate enough to know him.
May his memory bring comfort to all who knew him and a smile to your face.
