Christopher went to be with his Lord, Jesus, on Tuesday September 14, 2021. Chris was born on December 5, 1974 to James and Patricia (Terpstra) Avery in Oklahoma City. He lived much of his childhood in Oklahoma City along with his brothers, Mike and Brent, and sister, Leigh Ann. He attended school at Lee Elementary, Jefferson Middle School and graduated from Kremlin-Hillsdale High School in 1996.

Chris worked for McDonald's part time for many years. He also worked for ResCare in Oklahoma City for most of his career and made countless friends and great memories with every life he touched there.

If you knew Chris, you were aware of his ability to take over a room with his presence. He and his father Jim would frequent a few different restaurants and Chris always became a staff favorite. He had a celebrity status at his regular dining spots and was sure to make someone's day every time he stopped in for a snack. He enjoyed getting his favorite desert, Strawberry Shortcake Sundae from Braums.

Chris loved to read his Bible and spent many hours underlining verses. Nothing was as special to him as his holiday weekends spent with his dad at a local hotel. Chris loved his family and wasn't afraid to usher friends to the door if they overstayed their welcome and infringed on his time with "his dad." He loved every minute of just being with dad.

And when Chris lifted his hands in worship all those around knew he was pressing in at levels we could only dream of. With hands lifted high and a look of pure contentment on his face he would worship Jesus whom he knew as his Lord and Savior.

Chris will be dearly missed not only by his family but by all the care givers who worked in his home providing care and oversight. Now he is free and in the eternal loving care of Jesus. We look forward

to our reunion with him someday in glory.
