Christy Lane Pedigo was born September 27, 1962 in El Reno, Oklahoma. She was the daughter of Jack Dean Lane and Carol Kay (Wintermute) Lane. She completed this life on Thursday, February 22, 2024 at her home in Oklahoma City lovingly surrounded by her husband and boys, at the age of 61.

Christy was raised in Oklahoma City where she attended Western Oaks Elementary School and graduated from Putnam City West High School in 1980. Christy was a self-taught, accomplished artist and later engaged in painting classes where she mastered techniques to compliment her artwork. She was a fabulous cook and could cultivate a garden, of the most rare and majestic flowers, like no other.

In her native heritage, Christy had a love of the outdoors, all things nature; her toes in the sand of the beach, the sound of the waves while collecting shells, the song of every bird, the colorful butterflies, all shapes of the moon, and the everlasting rainbow. Christy dedicated herself as a loyal friend to all who knew her.

Christy was preceded in death by her son, Steven Tanner Pedigo on September 14, 2016; her father, her grandparents, Clarence and Gladys Wintermute and Winston and Neotha Wagner; and her father-in-law, Bob Pedigo.

Christy is survived by her husband, Robert Steven Pedigo; her mother, Carol Lane of Oklahoma City; her sons, Chandler Pedigo of Oklahoma City and Braden Pedigo of Stuart, FL; her grandchildren, Kash Parker Hill, Carter Pedigo and Isla Pedigo; her sisters, Kasi Bailey and her husband Tom of Houston, TX and Shelby Cypret and her husband Barry of Stillwater, OK; her daughter-in-law, Alyssa O'Conner; her mother-in-law, Marcedus Coppedge of Bethany; and her sister-in-law Jan Hughes and Gene Hughes; as well as a multitude of extended family and dear friends.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 PM Monday, at Vondel Smith Mortuary North. Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Tuesday, February 27th in the Vondel Smith Mortuary North Chapel, 13125 N. MacArthur Blvd.. Interment will be at 3:00 PM Tuesday in the El Reno Cemetery, El Reno, OK.
