Clarice "Lucille" Clevenger went to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, August 5, 2022 at the age of 92. The daughter of Willie Thurman Finley & Isabel Lucille (Kitch) Finley, Lucille was born on July 18, 1930 in Haworth, OK.
On January 16, 1957, Lucille married her one true love, Russell "Russ" Paul Clevenger in Weatherford, Texas. Together they shared more than 61 wonderful years of family, serving the Lord and others and enjoying many activities and travels. A longtime member of Southwest Church of Christ, Lucille will be fondly remembered as an excellent example of a Proverbs 31 Woman. As a young lady, she had the opportunity to show her skill as a musician. She was in a small town band, playing guitar and using her vocal talents at shop openings and other events. In addition to being a loving wife, devoted mother, "Nanny", and dedicated homemaker, Lucille also worked as an accounting clerk for Wilson Foods for 36 years. She was a lover of the outdoors. She loved to fish, hunt, and enjoy the experience of nature. She was well known for unmatched ability to make the best roast, flat biscuits & potatoes. Also, all of her family knew they would be getting their favorite homemade cake for their birthday, courtesy of Nanny. Time with her beloved family was most precious to Lucille, and her memory will be in our hearts evermore. We rejoice in knowing she is now in Heaven and reunited with her beloved Russ! We will all be together one day again!
