Classie Mae Anthony
June 17, 1928 ~ February 25, 2025
Classie, 96, passed away peacefully at her home on Tuesday February 25, 2025. The daughter of Luli (Thoma) and Ruben Baker, she was born on June 17, 1928 in Maud, Oklahoma, where she spent her childhood. She was driven and very independent from a young age. In the late 1950's, she relocated to California, where she met the love of her life, James Anthony. In 1961, the two were blessed with a daughter, Joyce and as a family, they returned to Oklahoma City. Together, they shared 14 years of a loving marriage together before James's passing in 1972. Classie was devoted to her husband and she never remarried. Classie worked for Western Electric, later Lucent Technologies, where she continued a long career building circuit boards. At 65, she retired and spent many days tending to her garden and traveling. She truly had a heart of gold and that was evident in her selfless giving as a volunteer at Southwest Medical Center. Classie will be remembered for her kind spirit, her genuine smile, and her abundant love for her family. She will be deeply missed each day, but her memory will live on in the hearts those whom she loved.
