Clifford Austin Armstrong, 32, of Oklahoma City peacefully hung up his gloves on April 1, 2023 after a long battle with chronic illness. Austin was diagnosed with a rare autoimmune disease, Goodpasture's Syndrome on January 3, 2012 at the age of 21.

Austin was born on September 21, 1990 in Oklahoma City to Tony and Marlene (Cook) Armstrong. He grew up in Oklahoma City where he graduated from Westmoore High School in 2009. He attended OCCC after high school and began working various jobs, however Austin's hobbies were his true passion. He was an avid gamer and spent over 20 years perfecting his craft at Game Headquarters in Oklahoma City where he made countless memories and many dear friends. He loved music, traveling, and although he didn't make many trips, his most memorable was his senior trip to Italy in 2009. Austin was a friend to all who knew him and can be described as one of the most gentle souls God ever made. Austin loved his family more than anything, especially his mother, who was Austin's caretaker, cheerleader, biggest advocate, and best friend. Austin shared a love of cars with his dad and many inappropriate jokes and good belly laughs with his sister.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Marnie and Irma Cook, his grandfather Clifford Armstrong, and step grandfather Floyd Avery. Uncles Neal Armstrong and Alfred Cook, aunt Maria Reid, cousins Justin Armstrong, Ryan Cook, Angi Reid, and Randall Duren.

He is survived by his parents, Tony and Marlene Armstrong of Oklahoma City, his grandmother, Sylvia Avery of Oklahoma City, sister Tayler Patton and husband Terrell, nephew Tanner and nieces McKenzie and Magnolia all of Piedmont, OK, as well as aunts, uncles, and many cousins.

Austin left a giant size hole in the hearts of many that he would want us to fill with love and kindness for one another. His soul was a pure and beautiful one that will be sorely missed until we see him again.

His memorial service will be Thursday April 6th at 2:00pm at Vondel Smith Mortuary at 6934 S Western Ave, Oklahoma City, OK 73139.

There will be a friends and family visitation on Wednesday April 5th from 6-8pm at the Vondel Smith South Lakes location at 4000 SW 119th St, Oklahoma City, OK 73173.

On October 9th, 2015 Austin was given the chance to live a better life through kidney donation. In lieu of flowers, the family is asking for donations to be made to LifeShare of Oklahoma in his honor and to please register as an organ donor today.
