Clyde Rickard was born December 5, 1927 to Eugene and Flora Rickard in Washunga, OK. He passed away August 18, 2022. He is survived by his wife Betty Rickard of 73 years; son, Rick Rickard and wife Jerri; daughters, Cynthia Cantrell and husband Dan, and Laurie Eaton and husband Brad; his brother Darrel Rickard and wife Judy; and numerous grandchildren.

Clyde was an alumni of OU and was an OU football fan since his first day there. Clyde was a strong moral individual and good Christian. He not only set the example as a strong believer in Christ, he lived it day to day. His family always came first. He loved them dearly.

Clyde served his nation as a BM2 in the US Naval Reserve, his state as a member of the OU Marching Band at the height of the Bud Wilkinson era, and his community as an insurance salesman for Employers Insurance of Wausau. He was well thought of and highly regarded by many of his clients for his business acumen and customer service.

His smile and laugh will be greatly missed.

Graveside services to celebrate Clyde's life will be held 2:00 PM Monday, August 22, 2022 at Resurrection Memorial Cemetery.
