Entrepreneur Craig McKinney Brown's conviction for success in business and life didn't come to an end with his death. Craig passed away December 10, 2021at the age of 75 after a courageous battle, he was surrounded by loved ones who will honor his legacy throughout their lives.
He was born in Pittsburgh to John W. Brown and Virginia S. Schomaker. Craig completed his bachelor's degree at Athen's State University in Alabama. He moved from Pittsburgh to Oklahoma City over 40 years ago and started his journey. Although he was well known for his demolition business and the contributions he made to the community as such, it was his passion for development that will leave his lasting mark on Oklahoma City.
His respect and commitment to the area known as the Deep Deuce was unwavering. He spent half his life pursuing it's revitalization and educating people about the true history of this historic area. The Deep Deuce Grill has become the best known feature of his efforts but is truly only one aspect of what he did to make this area what it is today and will be moving forward.
He loved his dogs, namely Murphy (1 through 6), as he was rarely seen without them.
Truly cherished by his friends and family for his genuine disposition, sense of humor and generosity Craig will be greatly missed.
