Cynthia (Cindy) Lynn Palmer was born on March 8, 1960 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma at St. Anthony's Hospital to Ruble and Myrna Garner. She was raised in South OKC along with her brother, Steve and Sister, Gina. Cindy and her family attended Capitol Hill Assembly of God and were very active members. As a young girl, Cindy enjoyed church youth group, church camp and playing softball in Jr. High and High School, Cindy was involved with Basketball, Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA), cheerleading and pep club. She excelled in her sports and was very studious. Cindy attended Christian Heritage Academy (CHA) and Southeast High School in Oklahoma City and graduated in 1978. The summer following high School she was chosen to travel the country of Japan, as a Junior Rotarian, representing of the Rotary Club of Oklahoma City. She went on to attended college at Southwestern Assemblies of God University in Waxahachie, Texas.
In 1980 Cindy moved back to Oklahoma City. Shortly after returning she met a very special guy, Randy Palmer, through playing softball for Xerox with his dad, Orville. The two started a relationship which blossomed into a wonderful romance. On October 4, 1985 the two married in Oklahoma City. Cindy and Randy were blessed with three boys; Kyle, Kody and Kory. They made a home, living in south Oklahoma City and Newcastle and were faithful members at Capitol Hill Assembly of God in Oklahoma City. They were very active members at the church and Cindy & Randy would often help in the church office and other church functions.
Cindy was a devoted wife and mother. She loved raising her family and supporting her sons in all they did. Over the years they all played baseball and she loved going out to the ball field to cheer on her boys and make friends with the other parents.
Cindy was also a hard worker and dependable employee. She enjoyed making friends and helping others and working allowed her to just that. She worked as a sales representative for Christian World from 1982-1987, Gloryland Christian Book and Gifts from 1988-1994, Moore Public Schools 1998-2007 and since 2007, Cindy has worked for Chickasaw Nation Industries.
Cindy was always known for her quick smile, welcoming demeanor, and ease of making friends. She will always be remembered for her love of baseball, especially when her boys were playing.
Cindy was preceded in death by her father Ruble Garner.
Cindy is survived by her spouse, Randall Allen Palmer; children, Randall Kyle Palmer and Alexandra Brodt, Kody Allen Palmer and Crystal Palmer, and Kory Steven Palmer and Kassy Bell; grandchild, Emslee Bell; mother, Myrna LaRae Garner; siblings, Steve Garner and Tricia, Gina Boyland and Jeff. Additional siblings; Wayne Palmer, Wade & Amanda, Gary Sartain, Amy Russell & Todd, Sie Palmer, Tori Thompson & Corey, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and friends.
