Obituary

Cindy Holland Willis, a beloved daughter, sister, wife, mother, and friend, departed this world on October 16, 2023, leaving a profound void in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing her. She was born on October 2, 1953, to Margaret Lillian Leis and Robert Lenny Thompson, in Henderson, Nv. Cindy was one of 7 children. Siblings: Dean Cherpitel, Cathy Thompson, Sherry Thompson, Vickie Thompson, John Thompson & Bobby Thompson.

Cindy was a shining example of compassion, kindness, and grace throughout her life. She was a source of warmth and light to all who crossed her path, leaving a lasting impact with her infectious laughter and unwavering support. Her legacy will forever be cherished by those who had the honor of sharing in her journey.

Earlier in life, Cindy was a dedicated wife to Michael Thomas Holland. She was the proud mother of 5 daughters: Lisa Brogan (Mark Brogan), Shawna Guedry (Kris Shannon), Mica Holland (Shawn Yi), Michelle Porter (Josh Porter), Mindy Wagner (Brian Wagner), 14 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren, raising them with wisdom, love, and a tireless devotion that will forever guide them in their lives. After the passing of her former husband Mike, Cindy was fortunate to fall in love again, and married Ray Dean Willis. They shared 10 wonderful years together. She happily welcomed another daughter Crystal Light (Ben Light).

In her professional life, Cindy was a respected Technical Support Engineer for Dell Technologies for 22 years. Her dedication to her work, exceptional competence, and unwavering integrity earned her the respect and admiration of her colleagues. She left an indelible mark on her field and made numerous contributions to her community.

Cindy's passions extended beyond her work and family. In her earlier years, you could find her on any given Sunday down at the bingo hall or with a fishing pole in her hand. She enjoyed thrift shopping, painting, bird watching, jigsaw puzzles, and had an insatiable curiosity for the world around her. Whether it was exploring new fishing holes, taking her girls camping, square dancing with her sweetheart Ray, tending to her beautiful garden, or spending time with her family, Cindy lived life with a zeal that was truly inspiring.

She leaves behind a legacy of love, resilience, and unwavering faith. Her memory will forever be cherished by her family, friends, and all who knew her. Cindy's absence will be deeply felt, but her spirit will continue to guide us in the years to come.
