Dale Edward Haralson, 74, of OKC, passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by family on July 1, 2021. He was born on June 1, 1947, to Ellis and Helen Haralson in San Bernardino, California and grew up in Norman, OK. Dale graduated from Norman High School in 1966. Dale retired as a Journeyman Electrician from IBEW Local Union 1141, after 50 years of service. He married the love of his life, Peggy Barton on June 20, 1981, and they recently celebrated 40 years together. Dale enjoyed NHRA drag racing and earned his NHRA license in 2006, an accomplishment he was very proud of. Dale especially enjoyed spending time with his family and building his relationship with God. He will be greatly missed. He is survived by his wife, Peggy Haralson; daughter, Jennifer and her husband Bryon Smith; son Jeffery Haralson; grandchildren, Jackson Smith and Taylor Smith; brothers Kenny Haralson and Gary Haralson; several nieces and nephews and special nephews Raymond Haralson and Layne Fassler. He was preceded in death by his parents and younger brother, Gerald "Pete" Haralson. Visitation will be held from 1pm-3pm, Tuesday July 6, 2021 at Vondel Smith Mortuary at South Lakes Stateroom with burial to follow at Heritage Burial Park.
