Woodrow Dale Smith heard the Lord say, "Well done, thy good and faithful servant" as he was called to his Heavenly home on Thursday, August 31, 2023. He was 82-years old. Dale was born on January 7, 1941, in Elizabeth, Louisiana along with his twin brother, Gail, to parents, William Joseph and Mildred Smith. Dale was raised in the south in LA, TX and Natchez, MS. In 1959, Dale graduated from Natchez High School where he was active in the Trade and Industry Club and chorus. Dale fell in love with a beautiful young lady by the name of Billie Rose Fuller and the two were united in holy matrimony on February 3, 1961 in West Monroe, Louisiana. This union was blessed with two daughters, Angela and Stephanie, and a son, Dub. Dale and his siblings were raised in a loving and Christian home where they were taught and shown the love of Christ. At the age of 15, Dale gave his heart to the Lord and was filled with the Holy Ghost. This had a profound impact on Dale's life. Dale answered the Lord's calling by dedicating his life to preaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Dale continued his education by attending Bible College at Pentecostal Bible Institute in Tupelo, MS and Texas Bible College in Houston, TX. Dale began his evangelistic ministry in the fall of 1966 and took his first church in Oklahoma City in December of 1971. Dale pastored the same church in OKC for 28 years. In addition to working in the church, being a loving husband, and devoted father, Dale also worked in the printing industry. For many years, he worked as a linotype operator and was a union printer for 20 major metropolitan newspapers. In his spare time, Dale enjoyed hobbies such as watching OU sports, racquetball, fishing, antiquing, photography, reading, writing, singing, and playing the piano. However, his most favorite past time was enjoying a great meal with his family, prepared by his loving wife, Billie. Dale had a special way of never meeting a stranger and could strike up a conversation with anyone at any time. Aside from his church, Dale also took great pride in his fundraising business Pizza Makers of Oklahoma (later known as All Star 1 Fund Raising, Inc.). He and Billie's business helped groups raise money since 1985 in all 48 contiguous states. Dale took great pride in everything he did as he lived by the moto "if it's worth doing, it's worth doing right." Dale will be remembered as a man of his word who loved the Lord, his family, and others with all of his heart. He will be deeply missed each day and continue to live on in our hearts.
