Dale E. Young, 63, a good and faithful servant, was welcomed into the loving arms of his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ Fri. Nov. 2, 2007. He was born May 14, 1944 in OKC to Gene and Inez Young. On Nov. 23, 1962 in Henryetta, OK, Dale married the love of his life, Carrie Katheryn Moore and together they shared nearly 45 wonderful years of marriage and raising a family. A 1962 graduate of U. S. Grant H.S., Dale furthered his education at OCCC, where he studied banking and real estate. As a young teen working for Buchanan Foods, Dale learned to be a hard worker throughout his life having worked for numerous local businesses including in the accounting offices of B. S. & B. Steel and H.J. Jefferies Trucking, Credit Card Div. of Liberty Bank, realtor for a short time with Duer Realty and later retired from GMAC Auto Finance after 20 yrs. service. For the past several years, Dale also answered a call to serve in music and ministry. With a passion for music and sincere heart for serving the Lord, his family and others, Dale led worship for numerous local churches including, Trinity, Lakeview Park and Oakcliff Churches of the Nazarene and Exchange Ave. and Hilltop Baptist Churches. In 1997, Dale was ordained into the ministry at Grace Place Baptist Church, where he served as fulltime music minister until retiring earlier this year, but still continuing his service to Lord as pastor of the 50 and older group.

-infant brothers: Jerry Don and Kenneth Lee Young.

He leaves cherished memories with:

-His loving wife of nearly 45 yrs, Kathy Young of the home;

-Daughters: Susan and DeAnna Young;

-Brother, Don Young and wife Mona

-Sister, Wanda Jean Pooler and husband Price

-And countless other loving family and friends.

As a loving father and husband, he always stressed the importance of loving Christ and living for Him daily. He will be forever missed and loved deeply. Although we will miss his presence here on earth, we rejoice in knowing he is singing with the angels and residing with his Heavenly Father.
