Darrel Lee
Bradshaw
Jul 24, 1944 — Sep 7, 2026
Norman
Darrel was born in Wichita, Kansas on July 25, 1944, to Lee and Pearl Bradshaw.
Darrel was raised in Oklahoma City. He excelled in academics. He graduated from Capital Hill High school in 1963. In 1967, Darrel Enlisted in the United States Air Force. He proudly served his country during the Vietnam war and was honorably discharged in 1969.
In 1971, Darrel married the love of his life, Paula Kay Johnston. They were blessed with two children, Kevin and Melissa. Darrel was a loving husband, devoted father and a wonderful provider and Christian example to his family. Darrel and his family were longtime members at Southwest Church of Christ in Oklahoma City.
Darrel had numerous careers in his lifetime including running an Onion Burger Restaurant and a full-service garage station, teacher, and coach. For the last 25 years, Darrel was a counselor for Yukon Public Schools. He retired in 2005 and was able to focus on the important things in life. Darrel enjoyed taking his family on vacation each summer. We went to Disney World, The Grand Canyon, Tennessee, Texas and many more. Some of their best memories were made at church with his church family and his work family.
In his spare time Darrel enjoyed going to OU Football games, OU Basketball, movies, eating out and finding the Best Burger at every place he would eat at. He could often be found at home relaxing and watching TV or at church and doing stuff with his friends. Above all, spending quality time with his loved ones was top priority.
Darrel will always be remembered for his smile, his sense of humor, wisdom, kindness and his love for the church and his family. Although he is no longer with us, his legacy will live on through the lives he touched.
Darrel was preceded in death by his wife of 48 years, Paula Bradshaw; parents Lee and Pearl Bradshaw.
He is survived by his Son, Kevin Bradshaw and his wife, Amanda; Daughter, Melissa Bradshaw; Grandsons, Camden Bradshaw, and Baker Bradshaw; as well as many extended family members, countless loving church family, and dear friends.
