David Kent Buettner entered Heaven's gates on Thursday, April 26, 2018 at the age of 61. The son of Richard Edward and Betty Rose (Parham) Buettner, David was born on October 28, 1956 in Kingfisher, Oklahoma. After graduating from US Grant High School in 1974, David began working in the retail industry having worked for TG&Y, Bargain Time, McCroy's and Hobby Lobby where he worked as a manager. He was a good provider for his family and enjoyed doing all he could for them. He was the best father. When his children were younger, he loved taking them to the lake. He owned his own boat and would take them out to Lake Arbuckle often. Having being a car enthusiast since a young age, David enjoyed building go-karts for his children. He was an avid OU Sooner and sports fan in general too and enjoyed playing on the Shartel Church of God Softball team for many years as a pitcher and shortstop. David was known for his love and compassion for his girls and grandchildren whom he loved with all of his heart. He will be remembered for his unconditional love and devotion for his mom and dad over the last eight years. Although we will miss his presence on earth here with us every day, we rejoice in knowing we will be reunited in Heaven with him someday. He leaves behind his loving family: Daughter, Melanie Danelle Robertson and her husband, Kevin; Daughter, Jordan Hamilton and husband, Robert Hamilton, IV; Parents, Richard and Betty Buettner; Brother, Larry Buettner and his wife, Deidra; Brother, Ricky Buettner and his wife, Cindy; Brother, Randy Buettner and his wife, Jalinda; Sister, Debbie Spears and her husband, Steve; Sister, Lori Jackson and her husband, Charlie; Grandchildren: Hunter, Kaden and Gunnar Robertson and Preston and Stella Hamilton; Many other family and friends.
