David Allen Davis, also known as DAD, passed away on March 19, 2021 at the age of 65. David was born in Dallas, Texas on April 29, 1955. He was married to Janice Lowder for 40 years.
David worked at Townley's Dairy, AMPI and Borden's Dairy. He also worked as a landscaper and retired early to take care of his wife.
David was preceded in death by his parents, Jacob & Katherine Davis; two brothers, Steve & Timothy Davis; two sisters, Sharon McBride & Theresa Mooreman. He is survived by his wife Janice, two daughters, Christina and Leslie, granddaughter, Phoenix and son-in-law, Richard. He missed the birth of his second grandchild, Emerson, by just a few days.
David was a man with a wealth of knowledge – if something was broken, he could fix it. Some say he was a foreman and supervised everyone. He was a collector of all things and had a green thumb. He loved people. He loved stories and could embellish as necessary to entertain. His voice carried and he commanded respect. He taught everyone he worked with how to do the job right the first time. David loved westerns – if you came over to the house you would hear gunshots and men yelling from the westerns playing on TV.
He struggled recently with his eye site, hearing and use of his body making all things difficult in the end. He left us quickly and we weren't quite prepared, but for that we are also thankful. God has stopped the pain for David and may we lay him to rest as the fighter he was.
