David Fredrick Hanlon was born on August 5, 1976 in Upstate New York. David was the son of David Hanlon Sr. (deceased) and Doris Boccassini (Deceased) and stepson to Flora Hanlon. David was raised in Barryville and attended Eldred Central School. Flora Hanlon raised David in Elded, NY.

David attended college at Southern Alabama University. Soon thereafter, he relocated to Oneonta New York to be close with his sister, Megan Marfiak. David made a living in various construction jobs and day labor positions. Eventually he relocated to Portland, OR where he resided for a number of years with his sister, Megan, and close friend Jonathan Baldari. During the time of residence in Portland, OR he learned he had kidney disease. This was a difficult time for Dave; he eventually moved back to Messina, NY where he resided with sister Rebecca. After receiving a kidney transplant he moved to Denver, Colorado where he resided with close friend Courtney Young. For a brief period of time, after his transplant failed he resided in Fort Collins, CO with close friend Rosemary Gleason and her son Aedan. He eventually relocated to Walters, OK to be close with his sister, Brandy Andrews, and his nieces and nephews.

David had faced many difficulties in the last few years and struggled with his health. He always had a smile to share, a laugh to enjoy and hope in his heart. Dave loved the outdoors and the ocean in particular. He also enjoyed the sport of fishing. David made friends along all of his journeys as he was a kind man and a good friend. He loved his nieces and nephews.

Dave leaves behind his stepmother Flora Hanlon, sisters Megan Marfiak, Brandy Andrews, Rebecca Kruseck and had another sister pre-deceased, Amanda Boccassini. Dave also leaves behind his nieces and nephews: Raistalnd O'Dell, Alec O'Dell, Devin O'Dell, Bianne Johnson, Ethan Andrews, Justin Kruseck, Kristi Kruseck, and Skyla Krusek. Dave will be dearly missed by his friends and family who are comforted that Dave may finally rest peacefully with no pain. Dave will always be present in our hearts and in moments of laughter his spirit will live on.
