Obituary

In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials to Gideon's International or Faith Comes By Hearing of Albuquerque, NM

David "Dave" Huebert joined his Savior on August 15, 2024.

Dave was born on October 13, 1945 to Harry E. And Katherine M (Baergen) Huebert in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

Dave graduated from Corn Bible Academy in 1963 and completed a bachelor's degree in Accountancy in 1969 from Central State College. Dave married his high school sweetheart and love of his life, Judith M. Kliewer on June 5, 1964. They enjoyed a lifetime of love and service together which was an example of living out a Christ-centered marriage. Dave became a Certified Public Accountant in 1970 and ultimately retired from accountancy from BancFirst in 2007.

Dave and Judi raised their two sons, David "Mike" Huebert and Scott Huebert in Shawnee, Oklahoma.

It was his relationship with his Savior that was the most important thing in Dave's life. His faith directed him to mission work through participation in The Gideon's International organization, Faith Comes by Hearing mission, and through support of missions to Mexico, Nicaragua, and Ecuador. He was an active member of First Baptist Church in Moore, Oklahoma and enjoyed a close circle of friends there. Dave's faith in his Savior was evident to his last days and he was ready to share that with anyone who would hear it.

Dave loved to fish and to spend time with close friends and family, combining the two whenever possible. He was equally talented both in fishing and in telling fish stories. His story-telling skills were legendary and usually ended with a good laugh. His best stories were those of his childhood, funny memories of his family and especially good stories about his grandkids and great grandkids. He was a man who knew how to work hard, how to serve others, how to be a dedicated friend, and how to be a true neighbor.

Dave was a great father to his sons who both followed his example of living out their faith and also followed his example in their careers in accountancy. He adored his grandchildren and enjoyed making hand-made items with them and for them. He loved to take them fishing. Dave had the extreme joy of quality time spent with his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He knew how to make the most of that time.

Dave is survived by his bride of 60 years, Judi Huebert; his son Mike Huebert and wife Allison of Claremore, Oklahoma, and his son Scott Huebert of Shawnee, Oklahoma; grandchildren Seth and Ashley Huebert, Will and Callie Huebert, Tyler and Westie Huebert, Joseph Huebert, Paul Huebert, and Maggie Huebert; and great grandchildren Rowan David, Clara, Thatcher, Truett, and Margaret "Margot" Mae. He is also survived by his sister, Harriet and her husband Ed Frankenfeld of Nashville, Tennessee, his brother in law Harry Kiehn of Waco, Texas, and his sister-in-law Donna and husband Dan Heath of Enid, Oklahoma. He is also cherished and fondly remembered by countless friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Katherine Huebert and by his sister, Joelda Kiehn.
