Obituary

David Clyde Stouder, 67, of Moore, departed from this life to be with the Lord on January 25, 2025, following a period of declining health.

Services are scheduled for Saturday, February 1, 2025, at 2:00pm at Vondel Smith Mortuary and Chapel at South Lakes. Visitation will be held Friday, January 31, 2025, 4:00-7:00pm (family present 5:00-7:00).

David was born in Oklahoma City on April 3, 1957, to Roy Stouder Sr. and Martha G. Stouder. David grew up in Oklahoma City with his 5 siblings including his twin sister Diana. As a teenager David moved to Moore and graduated from Moore High School and Commercial Art School in 1975. Shortly after graduation David married Kathryn Glenn. David and Kathy resided in Moore where they raised 2 children. David began his work career with Fox-Vliet Drug Company, AKA FoxMeyer Drug Company and went on to work for FedEx, where he retired in 2022. Throughout his life, he was passionate about art, classic cars and music—and about sharing those things with his loved ones and friends. He was a talented artist who could design and create everything from model cars to detailed birthday cakes to costumes, from school projects to holiday displays. He loved all types of music and enjoyed attending concerts so much that he worked a part-time security job for CSC, allowing him to combine a hobby and a job.

Above all, David was a kind and devoted family man with an enormous sense of humor. His wife, children and grandchildren could always depend on him and his love. David loved being a dad to Brandon and Chasiti, he would drop whatever he was doing to spend time with them and go above and beyond to make sure they were taken care of. As a grandfather and great-grandfather, he was proud and attentive, never missing a milestone or event-such as baseball, soccer, cheerleading competitions and volleyball. Always, he was present with a dad joke, a hug and a smile.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Roy Edward Stouder Sr. and Martha Stouder, and five siblings: Roy Edward Stouder Jr., Doyle Stouder, Sara Brown, Brenda Brown, and Diana Cox. He was preceded in death also by his father-in-law, Bill Glenn.

He is survived by his wife of nearly fifty years, Kathy Stouder, and two children: Brandon Glenn and wife Mary of Shreveport, LA, and Chasiti Stouder-Hovarter and husband Joey of Oklahoma City. He leaves behind three granddaughters: Jordan Baker and husband Adam, Kayla Hovarter, and Lauryn Hovarter; and four great grandchildren: Adalynn, Joseph "Beau", and Owen Baker. Expected in March-Chloe Baker. Also survived by his mother-in-law Linda Glenn and so many extended family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to: Toby Keith Foundation, WildCare Oklahoma or Ground Zero Emergency Canine Training.

The family would like to extend their sincere gratitude for the outpouring of love, prayer and support during this difficult time. We would also like to thank the medical staff and doctors of Oklahoma Heart Hospital South, Davita Dialysis Center and the many others involved for their unwavering dedication and care.

We would like to encourage friends and family to continue to share special memories and stories of David on this website.
