After retiring from the OKC Fire Dept. he was a delivery driver for Howard Brothers Florist. David made so many lifelong friends on the fire dept. and had many, many funny stories that he shared with his wife. He also loved working for Howard Brothers Florist.
David did tile setting and house framing prior to getting on the fire department. While on the fire department he worked as a house framer for Glen Fowler and Mark Sublett. He also worked for Stewart Paving.
Any chance he got he was listening to music and if you needed to know the name of a song or who sang it, he would know. He loved reading and could retain anything he read. He loved fishing and always looked forward to the Bull Shoals fishing trip. His favorite sports team was the Dallas Cowboys and he won many bets and lost many bets on them but he never gave up on them. He enjoyed watching his girls play sports and was looking forward to watching his granddaughter play sports someday. He loved it when his girls invited their friends to the house and he pretty much adopted all of them. When his health was failing, he loved watching westerns with his caregiver and Mother-In-Law Lil.
David had a full life and always did things his own way. He was a loving Christian man with a big heart. He loved his family and was very proud of his daughters.
