IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Dax Damon
Cooper
March 5, 2003 – June 17, 2025
It is with great sadness that the family of Dax Damon Cooper announce his passing. Dax, 22 years old, went to his eternal rest on June 17, 2025. The son of Leslie Ebert and Brett and Kimberly Cooper, he was born March 5, 2003, in Norman, Oklahoma. Dax grew up attending schools in both Choctaw and Dickson, Oklahoma, and graduated from Dickson High School in 2021.
Dax possessed an infectious smile, a wonderful sense of humor, and incomparable dance moves. He was an avid reader, an excellent conversationalist, and he loved history, maps, chess, video games, and music. His musical talents were many, and he played the trombone, harmonica, guitar, and banjo with skill.
He was given to us for only a short time and we will dearly miss his smile, his laugh, his joy, and the music he made in our lives. We will miss his wit and his charm, and the way he would hug us so tightly.
Dax was preceded in death by his:
nephew, Hunter Martineau of Grove, Oklahoma.
Dax leaves behind his loving family:
his parents, Leslie Ebert of Wichita Falls, Texas, and Brett and Kimberly Cooper of Dickson, Oklahoma;
his grandparents, Gerald and Barbara Ebert of Hennessey, Oklahoma, and Fred and Nancy Wright of Lone Grove, Oklahoma; his siblings, Deven Cooper of Choctaw, Oklahoma; Savannah Martineau and husband Justin of Grove, Oklahoma; Josh Ballard of Edmond, Oklahoma; Emily Graham and husband Bailey of Edmond, Oklahoma;
as well as nieces, Gentry and Bailey Mae Martineau and nephew, Quinton Martineau,
along with many other extended family and friends.
A graveside service will be held at 1:00 pm on Friday, June 27, 2025, at Garber Cemetery in Garber, Oklahoma, followed by a celebration of his life in Hennessey, Oklahoma.
Memorial donations are suggested to be made to Sister BJs Pantry of Oklahoma City; the Homeless Alliance of Oklahoma City; Catholic Charities of Oklahoma City and Ardmore; and Food and Shelter of Norman, Oklahoma.
