Obituary

In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials be made to Brookwood Baptist Church or the Westmoore High School Special Education Program/Special Olympics

Deanna, 52, surrounded by her family, was welcomed into the arms of her Heavenly Father on May 14, 2022. "Dinker", as she was known to many, was born in Oklahoma City on July 8, 1969 to Jerry and Pat McNeill. Deanna was the youngest of three girls. She was cherished and doted over by family members who carried her around like a precious doll. Deanna attended Moore schools, and she graduated from Moore Christian Academy in 1987.

While attending Moore Christian Academy, she met her soulmate Tom Fox. On May 5, 1990, Deanna and Tom were married. They were blessed with three wonderful children, Bailey, Tanner, and Calledonia. Deanna and Tom endeavored to raise their family in a Christian home, instilling in the children the values of commitment, hard work, love, patience & compassion for family and their community. When the children began elementary school, Deanna, desiring to be of service to others, became a Paraprofessional with Moore Public School System working with the special needs students at Westmoore High School for over 17 years until her retirement in 2019. During her time with the school she spent countless hours committed to bettering the lives of and creating a brighter future for her students. Deanna was involved in numerous fundraising events, helped organize and sponsor Special Olympics activities and continued to support the Special Education department at Westmoore High.

As faithful followers of Christ, Deanna and Tom worshiped at Southwest Baptist Church before becoming members of Brookwood Baptist Church. Deanna loved her family and was a big supporter of her children's sports activities where she met many lifelong friends. She loved to vacation in Destin, Florida with as many family members as possible. She recently discovered that she loved camping in her RV. One of her favorite trips was to go to the swap meet in Canton, Texas with her husband.

Deanna was known for her positive can do attitude, and with this attribute in February 2017, she began a courageous battle with cancer. She, along with Tom & her entire family, fought with determination to exhaust all necessary means to beat the disease. Throughout her illness, she proved she was no quitter & even on her worst days her focus was on the needs of her family. Her love for her family carried her through this battle, and she handled every setback with grace and courage. During her many hospitalizations and procedures, her love for people and her gracious attitude shined brightly. She considered every day a gift and embraced every moment with her family. She looked forward to every visit with her children, especially the "grands" Harper and her 3 month old Wrangler.

She is survived by her husband Tom; 3 children Tanner Fox & his wife Katy; Bailey Hatchell & her husband D. J.; Calledonia Terrell & her husband Josh; 2 Grandchildren Harper Hatchell & Wrangler Terrell; parents Jerry & Pat McNeill; sisters Pattye Thomas & her husband Danny & Tracy Montalvo; one brother John Evans & his wife Patty, & a host of other loving family & a large community of friends who have been so supportive during her illness. Our family would like to thank the many doctors, nurses, surgeons, and techs that oversaw Deanna's care for over five years. We are forever grateful for the care and compassion we received from Dr. Vivek Kohli, Director of Surgery at Nazih Zudhi Transplant Institute, Dr Stephen Lee, Dr. Chad Thompson, and all of the staff in the Interventional Radiology Department at Integris Baptist Medical Center. Most importantly we give thanks to our Lord Jesus Christ for the life of Deanna. While her presence here on this earth is already missed, we are confident she is living life to the fullest & awaiting our arrival.
