DeAnna "Dee" Pool

July 20, 1946 ~ February 22, 2024

DeAnna "Dee" Pool, 77, went to be with her Heavenly father on Thursday, February 22, 2024. The daughter of Wilburn "Rip" Colson, Sr. and Hazel (Burgess) Colson, she was born July 20, 1946 in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma. She grew up attending schools in the Pauls Valley area and graduated from Pauls Valley High School in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma. In 1971 she married her sweetheart, Kenneth Ray Pool and together shared more than 30 years of marriage. While raising their children, many weekends were spent at "Dee's" parents' home in Pauls Valley where the children were taught to hunt, fish, garden and can vegetables. In addition to being a loving wife, devoted mother and dedicated homemaker, "Dee" also worked for many years selling Home Interiors where she was recognized as a top sales leader many times over. She also worked as a 911 operator police dispatcher for the city of OKC police dept. 911 emergency until her retirement in 2007. Dee was very passionate about writing and took courses at Oklahoma City Community College to further her writing skills. She loved traveling to Branson to enjoy the multitude of entertainment there. Nothing was more important to her than being with her family whom she loved with all her heart. She spent years caring for her uncle, Charlie Burgess, in his late years and ensured he was able to travel and enjoy his final days with family around him. She loved and cared deeply for her family and she will be held close to our hearts each day.
